Marwa Elchazly

Photographer based in Alexandria, Egypt. I originally studied architecture, but photography has always been my passion. I see it as a kind of therapy against the world's stress and chaos, where I find my safe zone and reconnect with my inner voice.

I capture moments to bring smiles to people's faces, showcase beautiful scenes, create cherished memories, and portraits that make people proud. I believe photography is a powerful medium for storytelling.

While I’ve explored various types of photography, I’m most drawn to street photography, travel, architecture, and photo series, each offering a unique way to document life and share the untold stories around us.

Accomplishments

1. 2023, TIFA 2023 Honorable mention winner, Architecture Interior category.
2. 2022, BIFA 2022 Bronze Winner, Architecture Interior category.
3. 2202, IPA 2022 "Honorable Mention" and "Official Selection" in the Architecture Abstract category.
4. 2021, Won 10th place in the Wiki Loves Africa competition- Egypt

4. 2020, participated in writing and photography as part of teamwork preparing the book "The Architectural Guide -Alexandria", issued by Dom publisher.

Exhibition

1. 2019, a dual photography exhibition with artist Jihan Azab entitled "The Magic of Siwa."
2. 2025, the first solo exhibition entitled "Africa...People's Tales"
3. Participated in many group photography exhibitions at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Sawy Culture Wheel, and other cultural institutions
