Africa is not just Savannah plains, nor iconic scenes of wildlife. It is a content of various unique cultures, brimming with stories, traditions, and customs expressed through vibrant colors and rhythmic music.
This exhibition is an invitation to explore these diverse displays of culture throughout different parts of this incredible continent, as well as an attempt to see Africa through different eyes.
In Tanzania, the series trace the coffee bean, right from the field to the coffee cup, then exploring the Maasai people’s tribal life, one full of challenges and beauty, and finally the behind-the-scenes of safaris.
To the bustling urban markets of Zanzibar, where flavors of spice mix with colors of fruits, as well as witnessing how the local women cultivate seaweed on the shore, then the series take focus on the old city of Stone Town, a World Heritage Site, where we take a walk among the cobblestone architecture, where Arab, African, Indian and European cultures blend together.
The series will travel to Seychelles, Saad Zaghloul's historical place of exile, to explore the beauty of nature and the stories that its people have to tell.
No tales of Africa would be complete without passing through Egypt, the land of the mighty Nile, which pulses as a lifeline through the continent's heart, narrating stories that date back to the dawn of history. Egypt, with its blend of heritage, civilization, and contemporary life, is integral to this continent’s diversity.
This exhibition attempts to see Africa through different eyes, with people at the center of the story. Each photograph narrates a unique experience, opening doors to a world full of diversity and beauty.
